What is healing?
What is healing, why do we need healing, where does healing come from, and who heals whom?
The root of the word ‘healing’ comes from the German word ‘heilen’ which hints at ‘making whole’.
Healing is about reclaiming parts of you that you currently don’t have, healing the cracks that invite the outside in (obscuring who you are) and putting yourself back together, like the nursery rhyme character Humpty Dumpty. Maybe a more beautiful reference is kintsugi (‘to join with gold’), the Japanese art of joining broken pieces of pottery together with gold, so that the vessel is whole again, and even more beautiful than it was before.
So if healing is ‘making whole’, what is it that is not whole then?
You could look at this from two perspectives.
PERSPECTIVE ONE
Firstly, you could look at this as losing parts of yourself from childhood into your adult years through the traumas & stress of life. So regaining parts of you from this period of your life, is part of ‘making yourself whole’.
How might you measure if you have ‘lost parts of yourself’ since your journey on this planet? Perhaps you:
- Don’t feel as alive as you did years ago
- You can’t feel your sense of freedom
- You are not connected to your emotions
- You feel disconnected from parts of yourself
- Perhaps your memory is not working as well
- You are not connected to your big dreams for your life
- You struggle with a busy mind that cannot shut up
- You feel anxiety and stress often
- You feel depressed and a loss of hope
- You struggle to plan and think things through
- You struggle to take action on things
- Perhaps you can’t access your passion
- You can’t access your drive or your ability to overcome limitations.
When we view healing only through the physical body we could look at some of this list and think it is just reduced body or brain functioning, ageing or hormonal imbalances. We would then tackle the solutions only through the physical body: exercise, diet, fasting, supplements, medicine. Or maybe we view some of these as pure mental dysfunction and tackle therapy and/or medication. If you have tackled all of these good things, and are still wondering – what else can I do to heal, perhaps it’s time to consider that the body does not constitute all of who you are?
The truth is the body is the smallest part of who we are from a metaphysical point of view. Meta being ‘above’ and therefore we are talking about who we are beyond the body, and what metaphysics says is there is a large SOUL body AND an enormous SPIRIT body. There are healings that take care of things on this list and that take care of the unseen aspects of our structure that also get affected by life on this planet. When the unseen aspects of our structure get impacted, which happens every day, we need healings beyond just the mind and the body. Remarkably the things on this above list can be healed through healings that fix the imbalances in these energy fields. So, it’s not all just hormones, your mental body, heart, flesh and bones that need healing!
In the article What is Healing? PART 2 (still to come), you can find a list of what can heal these challenges.

PERSPECTIVE TWO
The other way of looking at ‘making whole’ is that perhaps we were not connected to all we are when we were born! It’s a radical statement but it is curious how little of our brain we utilise and how this differs from the animal kingdom who uses maximum of their brain capacity.
Again, let’s reach to metaphysics in an attempt to solve this mystery. In the seven ancient Mystery Schools that have been operating unseen for thousands of years, sages have been preserving ancient teachings about who we really are, why we are here and how to unlock hidden potential.
A lot of these teachings are locked into the teachings of the mysterious ‘Tree of Life’. To distil the basics of this, the Tree of Life holds the information of our true potential, and if you study ancient cultures, a theme running through so many is the Tree of Life or some sort of holy Tree. It is a symbol encapsulating the hidden mysteries of human existence and potential, and an allegory of the deepest and most hidden mysteries our inner being is yearning for.
How do you know if you are looking to connect with that part of you perhaps you have not had connection with since before birth? Here is a list of possible feelings you mind be experiencing:
- You feel inside of you that you are more but don’t know how to bring it out
- You just ‘know’ you have more potential than you’re currently are able to access
- Life around you just doesn’t satisfy this hunger inside of you
- Life around you does not help you to make sense of who you are or how to bring your gifts into the world
- You have attained traditional markers of success but it’s not leaving you deeply fulfilled
- There is something just simply, missing
- You just know there is more!!!

Why do we need healing?
The above lists give you a really good idea about why you ‘need healing’ and why you need ‘to make yourself whole’.
If we consider that we are not currently whole and are disconnected from aspects of ourselves (whether pre or post birth), from a metaphysical perspective it is this disconnect that is actually leading to dis-eases in the mind, heart and soul (and even the body!).
According to Mystery School teachings, our current physical location (Earth) is a giant rock existing on the densest level of reality in the Universe and the furthest away from pure Light & good!
Think of your body, Soul and Spirit as a car that has been driving on a dirt road full of potholes and rocks nonstop since the day you were born, on the densest plane in the Universe! You can imagine that after such a journey, you’ll have a lot of cracks in your chassis, misaligned axles, and be in dire need of a tune-up! Not to mention – it’d be time for a serious car wash! To put this diplomatically, you might not be running optimally!
Think of life on this rock as the hardest off-road race in the Universe. But, as with any race there must be a prize for winning.
Certainly, with anything where you have to push yourself, you solidify and strengthen your gifts, and this tough training ground is just the grit needed to inspire us to reach for more. But what IS this prize?
The prize: well that is to find your true self and greatest potential. This has been known as finding the gold within you that you were not yet aware of in all of its fullness. It is you in your absolute power and ability to create what you desire in your life. According to the teachings of the Tree of Life, we are indeed made of the ingredients to become powerful creators in the Universe. Sounds big? Well it is! This extreme off-road race is the path to knowing who you truly are. (Hungry to know more? These deeper teachings can be found in the Empower Thyself Class & Initiation. This class is like ‘taking the red pill’ where the deepest teachings and tools of transformation have been waiting for those now ready to step into their potential.)
Luckily the best tools to fix and tune up that car and plug the engine into a turbo engine that you didn’t even know existed, have been preserved in the Mystery Schools for those who are ready to explore these and at the time when you are ready to explore these. These tools unlock the ‘gold within you’.
So the question about who are you underneath all that mud and without all those cracks, is a question that can finally be answered.
All the tools that will be presented as options to unlock and heal these unseen energies are all coming from a 3000 year old lineage from King Salomon and have been tested and handed down unchanged for all of this time.
Where does healing come from? Who heals whom?
The truth is that only you can heal yourself. When you receive a healing, you are the healer, and if you need a process to bring together lost pieces, or to heal fractures, then the person trained to do this, is facilitating your healing. There has to be desire, not know-how, but a desire to heal. This is key. There also has to be a willingness to move away from the past, to accept, to forgive – and this we will cover in another article! The main takeaway is that the power of healing lies in your own hands.
It is important to understand why we all ‘need healing’ and why it’s such an honourable path to facilitate healing for others. The force that you wield on the Path of the Healer, brings not only good energy to the person you are supporting, but flows ‘this force’ throughout your life, and connects you to all things Good and Beautiful!
Since a lot of ‘accepted’ paths of healing have focussed on body, mind and emotions without understanding the ‘hidden’ dimensions of what need to be healed, it is actually important to consider receiving other kinds of healing, other than physical body and mental therapeutic options. But it is also important to receive healings of this kind (from someone who is ‘facilitating’ this healing) that are reputable, have been tested and have merit and integrity.
The tools & healings from the lineage of King Salomon are vast. King Salomon brought together 3000 tribes and tested every single healing on every single bloodline and tradition in order to preserve the best healings that worked on everyone for when you are ready! These healings are the bomb for the mind, heart, soul and spirit. Physical healing itself can be connected to issues not understood in Western medicine, and if the cause of the physical disease is solely from an imbalance in our Soul or Spirit: these tools will be the ones to help the most!
Image above: Possible image of Archangel Raphael. Raphael is known to be an Archangel of Healing, where healing happens when we bring together the strands of the mind, body and soul.
Lineage healings are aplenty, and here I share just some of the functions of these incredible tools:
- Unite scattered or fragmented parts which are split after trauma, negative experiences & stress
- Clean the Soul, Body & Aura from outside influences & energies
- Connect you to your Soul and Spirit so you can heal
- Cut away outside energies that are distorting your mind, heart and direction in life
- Repair damage from outside energies
- Connect you to the highest energies so you can heal imbalances & disconnect and navigate yourself back to you
- Align you to yourself, and to Good and Beauty in life
- Align sacred geometrical structures in your energy field to open pathways that connect you to your divine power
- Truly heal the Mind (the Mind is a field of energy that exists in the Soul, so needs healings that can touch the Soul to facilitate real healing)
- Protect you from outside energies so you can get strong in yourself
- Clear negative personal and genetic programming in the DNA
There is a lot more to cover to explain the nuances not covered here, but a simple starting point is commonly the Life Activation and the Emotional Cord Cutting & Purification by Light session. This is often a good starting point wherever you are.
What’s also amazing is that there are modalities you can learn from this ancient tradition where you can learn to perform healings on yourself! You will learn this in Sacred Geometry 2, Sacred Geometry 3 and EnSofic Ray Fundamental and EnSofic Ray Intermediate Level.
However you move forward, ‘keep covenant’ with yourself to be your own healer, and know that you CAN shift your reality as you know it.
And if you really want to receive some revolutionary concepts that will catapault your understanding of real healing, consider attending EnSofic Ray Fundamental as it will present ideas beyond what are presented here, and will create a revolution in your deepest understanding of how to make the jump to knowing you ‘are whole’. Here is an article on EnSofic Ray to support a fuller understanding.
